Chlorophyll-a Trends in OSPAR Assessment Areas: Applying and Evaluating a New Statistical Approach
About this publication
This report evaluates a newly developed method for combining chlorophyll-a in-situ and Earth Observation data for eutrophication assessment in OSPAR maritime areas. The new and current method were compared to evaluate effects on eutrophication assessment outcomes, smaller areas were revisited to identify optimal grid size balancing statistical reliability with local gradients, and the new method was tested using three additional assessment areas to assess robustness and applicability.
