It is essential that information from the government, including public bodies such as Statistics Netherlands (CBS), is easy to find. This applies to both current information and information that was published in the past.

Past information can be valuable for historical and cultural reasons. And citizens and businesses can also derive rights from the information that is published on cbs.nl. For this reason, every page on our website is saved and stored, and a copy of the website is added to the web archive every day.

You can use the web archive to view information that was published on our website in the past.

How does the web archive work?

There are two ways to use our online archive:

  • You can view the site on a specific date in the past using the calendar on the left of the screen (in grey). It is possible to go back to 8 May 2023 using this method.
  • You can also use the search bar at the bottom of the calendar. The regular search bar at the top of the CBS webpage does not work within the archive.
  • Dashboards and the calculation tool for calculating rent increases do not work within the archive, because these pages are based on the latest data and this is not available in the archive.
  • Videos are not yet available in the web archive. We are currently working to make this possible.
