Data on the production, personnel and corporate finance of companies in the Netherlands are essential in order to understand how different industries and the national economy are developing. Statistics Netherlands (CBS) is responsible for the publication of figures based on such data. To publish these figures, CBS conducts the Annual Statistics survey.
The results of this survey provide insight into economic growth and are used by business, government and science.

For small enterprises (with one employee) and self-employed persons this short questionnaire has been introduced. This questionnaire is more in line with your situation and easy to fill in.

Consolidation

Is your business part of a group company structure? For some group companies, you will need to submit consolidated data. You can find them in the online questionnaire. You can find more information at: Consolidated reporting.

Privacy

The statistical overviews by Statistics Netherlands are compiled in such a way that no data can be traced back to individuals, companies or institutions. The data you submit will only be used to compile statistics.

Obligatory data delivery

As required by the Statistics Netherlands’ law, Statistics Netherlands uses as much data as possible from other institutions' files. We examine the usability, timeliness and completeness of the data. If the files do not contain the required data or do not contain it in time, we may request the data from businesses. Under the Law, you are obliged to deliver the requested data on time, completely and free of charge. Failure to do so may cost you money via a fine or an administrative penalty.
