RGS Bridge Statement

You can save a lot of time when filling in the questionnaire. Many accounting programmes support RGS. In order to have data entered automatically into the questionnaire, the general ledger accounts linked to RGS must be exported from your accounting programme. This is called an RGS Bridge Statement.

How does it work?

The RGS Bridge Statement shows the balances of the general ledger accounts that are linked to an RGS code. You can import this information into the CBS questionnaire. CBS recognises the codes in the RGS Bridge Statement and links them to the relevant questions. This means that a large part of the questions will be answered automatically. CBS only uses the data required for the questionnaire.

The number of questions that are answered automatically depends on the level of detail of the general ledger accounts in your accounts. The RGS version of your accounting software is also a factor. Please make sure you select the highest RGS version available. The higher the version, the better the Bridge Statement aligns with the questionnaire.

Please note that CBS can only process data that complies with the RGS Bridge Statement format. Other file types, such as the Auditfile, cannot be processed.

Check the data entered and add missing information

Once you have imported your data into the CBS questionnaire, you can check it and adjust it, or add information where necessary. You will still need to enter all non-financial information and data that cannot be extracted from the RGS Bridge Statement.

The RGS Bridge Statement is an export format that is used for exchanging RGS data (see www.stipac.nl).
