More shrimp on Dutch menus in December
The popularity of the common shrimp (C. crangon) during the holiday season is clearly visible in the turnover development of Dutch supermarkets.
More fish landings at domestic ports in 2021
In 2021, the amount of fish brought into Dutch fishery ports from sea was 443.5 million kilograms.
Number of vacancies slightly down
The number of job vacancies fell slightly in the first quarter of 2008. After correction for seasonal effects, there were 242 thousand job vacancies at the end of March 2008.
Nearly 150 thousand couples working with the same employer
On 14 February 2012, 296 thousand employees were working in the same company as their partners, so 148 thousand couples had the same employer, i.e. 4 percent of all employees in the Netherlands.
More fresh sea fish landed in Dutch ports
In 2017, the amount of fish brought into Dutch fishery ports from sea increased by nearly 25 percent compared to the previous year. The total volume was approximately 491 million kilos.
Job vacancies remain at record level
The number of job vacancies in the Netherlands remains high.

Adjusted for seasonal variation, there were 123 thousand unfilled vacancies at the end of December last year, i.e. 10 thousand fewer than one quarter previously.
