How are the Natural Capital Accounts (NKR) created? The Natural Capital Accounts use different data sources, methods and models to measure the different aspects of natural capital. The methods used may differ per component, varying from direct use of internal CBS data to complex spatial models.

In the technical explanation the statistical methods used within the Natural Capital Accounts are explained in detail. In addition to a step-by-step methodological description, an explanation of the interpretation and quality of the results is provided. The results are not described in the technical explanation: these can be found in the relevant publications.
