Export earnings
By far the largest portion (24.8 billion euros) concerns value added generated by Dutch business sectors. A minor portion concerns the balance of taxes and duties less subsidies on products (0.7 billion euros). This method facilitates comparison with the Dutch GDP.
For the years 2015 up to and including 2017, the figures presented here deviate from figures published previously in the news release of June 2018. The reason for this is that there has been a periodic revision of the National Accounts in the meantime. This revision included an increase in service export margins, as a result of which Dutch earnings from exports to the UK exceed the level which was calculated last year.
