Cross-border goods transport

Road transport is cross-border when goods are loaded in the Netherlands and unloaded in another country or vice versa (International transport to and from the Netherlands).

In the category other international road transport by Dutch vehicles (Other international), loading and unloading goods takes place abroad.
A distinction is made between third country transport goods where goods are loaded in one country and unloaded in another (e.g. loaded in Germany, unloaded in Italy) and cabotage transport, where goods are loaded and unloaded in the same foreign country (e.g. goods loaded in Belgium are also unloaded in Belgium).
