Dutch inflation rate stable at 1.8 percent
The inflation rate did not change in September 2005. Just as in August consumer prices were 1.8 percent higher than the year before.
Job losses come to a halt
There were about the same number of jobs in the second quarter of 2005 as in the first. The seasonally adjusted figure shows an increase of 4 thousand jobs of employees.
Dutch consumers still pessimistic
After correction for seasonal effects, consumer confidence remained unchanged in September 2005 compared to the previous month.
Dutch manufacturers more confident
Producer confidence in manufacturing industry improved further and was at 1.3 in September, the highest score since March 2005. In August producer confidence was still in the negative range.
Household consumption up in July
Households spent more in July 2005 than in July 2004. The volume of domestic consumption was 0.5 percent greater than in July 2004. This is the second slight increase in a row.
Inflation rate up to 1.8 percent in August
The Dutch inflation rate in August 2005 reached 1.8 percent, up 0.2 percent point on June and July. Then prices were 1.6 percent higher than the year before.
