The regular consumer price index (CPI) figures for October will be published on 10 November.

Short-term price trends

According to the flash estimate, consumer prices rose by 0.7 percent in October 2026 relative to September 2026. Over the past ten years, prices in October have been 0.5 percent higher than prices in September, on average. It should be noted that when comparing two consecutive months, seasonal influences must be taken into account. For example, the average price change for clothing is lower during sales periods. However, these lower prices are temporary rather than structural.
