Inflation rises to 2.8 percent in April

Consumer goods and services were 2.8 percent more expensive in April 2026, year on year, reports Statistics Netherlands (CBS). In March 2026, inflation stood at 2.7 percent. The inflation figure for April is the same as the flash estimate for April that was published on 30 April.
The definitive CPI figure for April was originally scheduled for publication on Wednesday 13 May, but was postponed due to a fire in a data centre in Almere. The figures for April were published in StatLine today, 20 May.
