Manufacturing output prices virtually the same

Statistics Netherlands (CBS) reports that output prices for Dutch-manufactured products were 0.1 percent lower on average in July 2025 relative to one year previously. In June, prices were 0.3 percent lower year on year.

Larger year-on-year decrease in crude oil prices

Output prices are generally strongly influenced by the price of crude oil. In July 2025, the average price of a barrel of North Sea Brent crude stood at over 59 euros, over 23 percent lower than in July 2024. In June 2025, a barrel of crude cost nearly 61 euros, over 21 percent less than in June 2024.

Year on year, prices for petroleum derivatives were down by 12.9 percent in July, while in June they were down by 15.8 percent. Output prices in the chemical sector also tend to track the price of crude oil. In July 2025, output prices for chemical products were 3.7 percent lower than they were in July 2024. In June, they were down by 2.5 percent year on year.

Manufacturing output prices virtually the same as in June

Output prices rose by 0.1 percent in July compared to June. Prices on the export market rose by 0.1 percent, while prices on the domestic market remained the same.
