The categorisation of medical goods has been based on the paper ‘Trade in medical goods in the context of tackling Covid-19’ (3 April 2020, WTO). It should be noted that this does not refer to all existing medical goods but only those goods which the WTO has identified as relevant in the context of prevention, testing and treatment of the COVID-19 virus.
