Electricity production

This concerns the normalised gross production of electricity, adjusted for weather effects and including indirect electricity generation from green gas.
Normalised production in a specific year is calculated as the capacity in this year multiplied by the average production per capacity unit over the previous five years (wind power) or fifteen years (hydropower). Electricity production from solar power is, in principle, subject to weather conditions. However, the EU’s Renewable Energy Directive states that normalisation is not applied to solar power.
