Self-employed

Person performing labour at his/her own account and at his/her own risk. Two different perspectives are distinguished: 1) Self-employed (socio-economic perspective): person performing labour at his/her own account and at his/her own risk - in his/her own company or practice (entrepreneur), whether as a director-major shareholder, working in the company or practice of a family member (contributing family member), or as other self-employed (pursuing independent activities). 2) Self-employed (economic perspective): person performing labour at his/her own account and at his/her own risk, whether in his/her own company or practice, or working in the company or practice of a family member or as other self-employed (pursuing independent activities).
