Prices manufacturing industry fairly stable
Selling prices in Dutch manufacturing industry were approximately at the same level in July 2013 as in July 2012 (-0.1 percent). In June, manufacturing prices had also remained fairly stable relative to the same month last year.

Price developments within the sector manufacturing industry vary considerably. Prices of basis metal products were 4.6 percent down from July 2012. Prices of petroleum derivatives and prices in the printing and reproduction sector fell by 3.4 and 2.8 percent respectively. Prices of food, drinks and tobacco products, on the other hand, were 2.2 percent higher.
Index selling prices
Selling prices in manufacturing industry rose by 1.1 percent in July 2013 compared to the preceding month. The price rise on the domestic market equalled the price rise on the foreign market.
