Description topics

Natural gas
Variable supply rate contract prices
Average consumer prices per cubic meter of variable costs for the supply of natural gas for a fixed or variable contract. Both existing contracts and new contracts are part of this average price. Government measures such as the price cap do not influence the average price. The actual amount per household may vary depending on the type of contract, the duration of the contract and the energy supplier of choice.
Electricity
Variable supply rate contract prices
Average consumer prices per kilowatt hours of variable costs for the supply of electricity for a fixed or variable contract. Both existing contracts and new contracts are part of this average price. Government measures such as the price cap do not influence the average price. The actual amount per household may vary depending on the type of contract, the duration of the contract and the energy supplier of choice.
Fixed supply rate dynamic contracts
Average annual fixed rate paid by consumers for the supply of dynamic electricity contracts. The actual amount per household may vary, depending on the type of contract and the energy supplier chosen by the consumer.
Variable supply rate dynamic contracts
Unweighted average rate of variable costs paid by consumers with dynamic contracts for the supply of electricity. It is calculated as an average of all Day-Ahead prices from the European Power Exchange (EPEX SPOT), including an additional weighted average purchase fee applied by energy providers offering dynamic contracts. The actual monthly average rate per household depends on their consumption pattern and on the actual purchase fee, which may vary depending on the energy supplier.
