Total asylum requests
Requests for asylum are submitted by persons who have left their own
country for various reasons in order to seek protection or asylum in
another country.
First asylum requests
An asylum seeker may submit more than one request. For example, in the
situation that there are new relevant facts, a subsequent request may be
submitted.
