Description topics

Orders
'Orders received' refers to the value of the orders received in the
previous month. Possible answers are: increased, remained the same
and decreased. Subsequently, the order position is established in
combination with the production, expressed in months of work. Orders
received and order position are referred to in terms of large, normal
and small for the time of year (see: 'evaluation'). Thus, seasonal
effects are taken into account. Orders include domestic as well as
foreign orders. Therefore, in addition to the total, several indicators
have been calculated for domestic and foreign order position and
orders received. The answers are weighted according to the company's
turnover value. Domestic orders received are weighted by domestic sales,
foreign orders received are weighted by foreign sales.
Order position
Response percentages to the monthly question: 'The total order position,
in regular working hours, is the equivalent of XXX months of work.'
Index
The order position is represented as an index (July 2000=100) of months
of work in stock including any work for replenishing the stock.
