Explanation of figures on distribution of well-being

The figure ‘Distribution of well-being in the most recent year and change compared to 2019’ provides an overview of the distribution of well-being in 2025 (2024 for income, wealth and housing cost ratio) and the relative changes since 2019 (2022 for job satisfaction). For each theme and within each theme, each indicator shows where a population group has a significantly higher (green) or lower (red) level of well-being than the national average. A grey dot means that there is no significant difference as compared to the average.

When comparing trends since 2019, the colours indicate whether a population group’s score for an indicator has developed more favourably (green) or unfavourably (red) than the national average since 2019, or whether it does not deviate(grey).
