The Annual Report Youth Monitor 2020 Summary presents an outline of the living situation of young people in the Kingdom of the Netherlands. Based on a number of social themes, attention is paid to developments and regional differences. At local level, a description of youth in the Caribbean Netherlands is included.
Topics covered in each edition of the Annual Report Youth Monitor include family situation, growing up on income support, education, labour, lifestyle, crime, youth care and the living situation of young people in the Caribbean Netherlands. The 2020 edition further includes figures on wellbeing and developments in special education.
The Annual Report is a joint publication by the Ministry of Health, Welfare and Sport (VWS) and Statistics Netherlands (CBS). Its contents are based on figures which have been published on the website: https://jeugdmonitor.cbs.nl/en/.
