Children

Children aged between 12 and 18 are allowed to register their choice in the Donor register. If children do not make a choice, they are not automatically registered as ‘having no objection ot organ donation’, unlike with adults.

Children under the age of 12 are not permitted to make a choice. The physician will ask the parent(s) or guardian to make the decision. If both parents choose differently, the child’s organs will not be donated.
