Mobility

Mobility describes a change in an employed person’s labour market status over a period of time. Mobility can be divided in two different flows: people who enter the labour force and people who are leaving, both of which can be subdivided into different categories. This figure represents a year-on-year change. The first flow are people who work in a particular sector in a given quarter, but who were not in employment in the same quarter of the previous year. The latter flow are people who are not working in a particular sector in a given quarter, but who were in employment one year previously.
