An area's degree of urbanisation

The degree of urbanisation of the area where people live is a classification based on the number of addresses in the area (surrounding address density). The more addresses a specific area has, the higher its degree of urbanisation.

The degree of urbanisation between areas within a city or municipality may vary. For instance, areas with more high-rise buildings tend to have more addresses, which means that they have a higher degree of urbanisation.

In areas with more low-rise buildings and larger plots of land, the number of addresses (and thus the degree of urbanisation) tends to be lower.
