Basic digital skills

A person has basic digital skills in the areas of information and digital literacy, and online communication if he or she performs at least one activity in these two areas. In the other three areas (computers and online services, privacy protection, and use of software), a person has basic digital skills if he or she performs one or two activities in these areas.

A person is considered to have above-basic digital skills in the areas of information and digital literacy, and online communication, if they perform two or more activities in these areas. In the other three areas, people need to perform three or more activities in order to fall into the ‘above-basic digital skills’ category in these fields.
