CBS publishes data when more than 95 percent of the cause-of-death certificates related to the publishing period have been received and processed. This is usually after approximately four months. CBS has received almost all cause-of-death certificates for the deaths that occurred in 2020 among residents of the Netherlands (99 percent). This is 99 percent for the months of January and February 2022; 98 percent for March 2021, 99 percent for April 2021, 98 percent for May through October 2021, 97 percent for November 2021, and 94 percent for December 2021.
