Agricultural holdings display great variety in farm structures. In order to allow for a homogenous classification, economic standards are applied: the standard output (SO). The degree of specialisation on a farm, the type of farm, is calculated according to the farm’s standard output share (SO) per group of products in the total. When the main focus of the farm’s activities (based on SO value) lies on goat rearing, this farm is classified as a goat farm.
