Care expenditure in the broad sense

Care expenditure in the broad sense includes medical care and long-term care, youth care, child care and all forms of welfare, such as social services and the reception of asylum seekers and housing and shelter for the homeless. It also includes the costs of policy and management organisations and funds in the care sector. This includes goods and services provided by care institutions and practices as well as by other companies for which the provision of care is not a core task.
