Various indicators are used to measure progress towards the circular economy, as described in the report ‘Materiaalstromen in Nederland’ (Dutch only). These are: recycling of waste, waste emissions, utilisation of recycled materials, (in-)direct consumption of materials, (in-)direct use of material, employment and value added in the circular economy, and the material utilisation rate.
