PHEV or FEV

Plug-in electric vehicles (PEVs) are electric cars with rechargeable batteries. Most of these cars – 87 percent – are plug-in hybrids (PHEVs). They use an internal combustion engine and an electric motor. Aside from electricity, these cars can run on other fuels such as petrol. The other group of electric cars are the fully electric vehicles (FEVs), using only electric power for propulsion.
