Shopping centre variety

Variety refers to the presence of different types of shops in a particular area. These types can be divided into 81 retail activities, i.e. 13 food and 68 non-food activities.

When SIC1993 was substituted by SIC2008, the retail trade in caravans was replaced by repair and upholstery of furniture. The latter type of retail activity is found in 8 shopping centres in 2012, but only 1 shopping centre includes retail trade in caravans.
