Tests in numeracy and literacy

The tests in numeracy and literacy are required in the first year of teacher training for elementary schools. Students who fail these tests, developed by Cito are not allowed to continue their studies. That is, they are not allowed into the second year, nor into another teacher training academy.
The tests in numeracy and literacy were introduced in 2006/’07 to guarantee the quality of the students in this subjects.
