The Standard yield (SO) was introduced in 2010 to provide an indication of the economic size of agricultural activities. The SO is based upon the standardised annual yield of a crop or animal species. For example, the annual dairy cow SO is approximately 2,500 euro and the annual SO of a hectare of seed potatoes on clay soil is approximately 8,500 euro. Back to article
