Vocational and adult education

This includes subsidised schools under the Adult and Vocational Education Act. These schools provide vocational and adult education.
There are three types of subsidised schools:
• Regional training centres (Regionale Opleidingscentra or ROCs): they provide a wide range of vocational courses. Approximately nine out of ten students in senior secondary vocational education (mbo) go to these schools..
• Specialised trade schools.
• Agricultural schools. These are traditionally financed by the Ministry of Agriculture, Nature and Food Quality.
