Opinions on orders received from abroad

The Economic Survey is conducted by Statistics Netherlands on a monthly basis among Dutch manufacturers. They answer questions with respect to the prevailing mood and their expectations for the period to come. Respondents can choose from three options: positive, negative or neutral. Manufacturers’ opinions on the number of orders received from abroad can be large, normal or small, given the time of year. The indicator is defined as the percentage of manufacturers who are positive minus those who are negative about their foreign order position.
