The term ‘lawyer’ refers to lawyers and lawyer trainees registered with the Netherlands Bar Association. The number of lawyers is irrespective of the field in which they are active. Data from other countries referred to in this article are based on data provided by foreign equivalents of the Netherlands Bar Associations.
