Data provided by the Royal Netherlands Meteorological Institute (KNMI) show that the average temperature over the period 1978-1987 was 9.1 degrees centigrade, over the period 1988-1997 10.4 degrees centigrade and over the period 1998-2007 10.6 degrees centigrade. The average winter temperature over the same periods was 1.9, 3.7 and 4.2 degrees centigrade respectively. Back to article
