In this article, Dutch companies are companies quoted on the Amsterdam stock exchange, excluding investment trusts, foreign companies and foreign finance companies. Dutch statistics count Fortis as being 50 percent Dutch and 50 percent Belgian. From 6 October Fortis is counted as a foreign company and no longer included in Dutch statistics.
