Market share

Dutch consumers spend more than 1.6 billion euro on books in 2006. Stationers and bookshops accounted for 55 percent. Other sales channels accounted for a smaller share:
non-retail trade (e.g. book fairs, libraries, ANWB and newspapers accounted for 33 percent
supermarkets accounted for 3 percent
department stores accounted for 3 percent 
street trading, mail-order/Internet companies and other shops together accounted for 7 percent

Online buying through the website of an existing shop(chain) is not considered as e-shopping.

Bookshops as referred to in this article are shops selling books, newspapers, comics, etc. Second-hand bookshops are excluded.
