The eurozone includes the 15 EU countries that adopted the euro as their currency, i.e. Belgium, Germany, Finland, France, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Austria, Portugal and Spain, Greece, Slovenia (since 1 January 2007), Cyprus (since 1 January 2008) and Malta (since 1 January 2008).
