Labour force

• Employed: paid job for at least 12 hours a week.
• Unemployed: wants to work for at least 12 hours a week, is available and undertakes activities to find work for at least 12 hours a week.

Non-labour force

• Wants to work for at least 12 hours a week, but has not actively looked for work in the last four weeks, and/or is not available to start work in the short term.
• Cannot work.
• Does not want to work, or wants to work for less than 12 hours a week.
