Statistics Netherlands measures the expected workforce in business services by means of the Business Sentiment Survey. Companies are asked whether they expect their staff numbers to increase, decrease or remain unchanged in the coming three months. On the basis of the response to this question, the net percentage of companies expecting staff to increase minus the percentage expecting staff to decrease is calculated. These figures become available in the first month of the quarter.
