Table explanation
This table provides data about the use of the internet by the population of the Caribbean Netherlands aged 15 years and older in private households.
Breakdowns by sex, age and level of education are presented. These aspects are shown for the Caribbean Netherlands and also for the islands Bonaire, St Eustatius and Saba separately.
The figures regarding the frequency of internet use in this table differ from those in the previous StatLine table on ICT use in the Caribbean Netherlands, which covered the period from 2013 to 2021. In the previous table, these figures were calculated based only on individuals who had used the internet within the preceding three months. In this new table, the figures for the frequency of internet use are calculated for all individuals, including those who have not used the internet in the last three months.
The data are based on the Omnibus Survey Caribbean Netherlands. This is a sample survey. This means that the figures shown are estimates. The precision of these estimates is represented in these tables by the 95% confidence interval. This interval contains the true (unknown) value with 95% certainty.
The Omnibus Survey was conducted for the first time in June and July 2013. The survey was conducted for the second time in October and November 2017 on Bonaire, and from January to March 2018 on Saba and Sint Eustatius. The third edition was carried out on all three islands from October 2021 to February 2022, and the survey was conducted for the fourth time from September 2025 to March 2026.
