This table presents the main figures for supply and consumption of primary coal (hard coal, lignite) and coal products in the Netherlands in a long time series.

Data available:
From 1802

Status of the figures:
Figures of 1802 up to and including 2023 are definite. Figures of 2024 are revised provisional.

Changes as of November 18th 2025:
Imports and exports of hard primary coals has been added from 1914 until 1950. Updated figures added for 2023 and 2024.

When will new figures be published?
Revised provisional figures: June/July in the following year.
Definite figures: december in the second following year.
