Description topics

Contacts with the GP
Includes all contacts with the GP, i.e. visits to the GP and consultations
by telephone in the 12 months prior to the interview.
Initiative to contact GP
In this category the various ways in which the contact with the GP was
established are distinguished: initiated by the patient, a repeat visit,
referred or summoned by a doctor or someone outside the medical
profession, e.g. a social worker.
The unit is one contact with the GP.

Health centres
Questions refer to the period one year previously, consequently, children
younger than 1 year cannot be monitored during a whole year.
% visit health care centre in 1 year
The percentage of children in the age category 0-4 who visited health care
centres during the 12 months preceding to the interview.

Contacts per visitor in 1 year
The average number of visits to health centres by all children in the age
category 0-4 who visited a health care centre.
