Venues for professional performing arts; performances, attendance, region

Table explanation

This table contains the results for capacity, performances and attendance of organisations that manage a venue or venues, and for whom presenting professional performing arts is their main or secondary activity. Stadiums, event halls, and venues for exhibitions and trade fairs where professional performing arts are programmed are also included in the population. Festival organizations are not included in the figures. The results are broken down by region and discipline.
Due to an improved measurement method, a higher number of club activities (for example live performances by DJs or producers) has been included in the figures on Musical performances. As a result, the total number of activities and visits in this category for these years is higher than it would have been without this adjustment.

Data available from: 1999

Status of the figures:
The figures for 2022, 2023 and 2024 are provisional. All other figures are final.

Changes as of 18 December 2025:
The provisional figures for 2024 have been added.

When will new figures be published?
In the fourth quarter of 2026 the provisional figures of the preceding year will be published.
