Estonia: limited trade volume with the Netherlands

In 2011 the Netherlands traded with Estonia on a limited scale. Just as in 2010, the share of Dutch imports and exports in total goods trade was a mere 0.1 percent. The value of Dutch imports from Estonia rose by 79 percent to 438 million euro in 2011. Dutch exports rose by 22 percent to reach 396 million euro.

Imports of fuel oil more than doubled

In 2011 the Netherlands imported 592 million kilograms of fuel oil from Estonia. In 2010 this was 256 million kilograms. Furthermore, the average import price per kilogram of fuel oil rose from 34 to 44 eurocent. The import value therefore rose by nearly 200 percent, to 258 million euro. This means that 60 percent of the imports from Estonia consist of fuel oil.
