Technical notes

The Natural capital accounts use various data sources, methods, and models to measure various aspects of natural capital. The methods used can vary by component, ranging from direct use of internal Statistics Netherlands (CBS) data to complex spatial models.

The technical document provides a detailed description of the statistical methods used within the Natural capital accounts. In addition to a step-by-step methodological description, it includes an explanation of the interpretation and quality of the results. The technical explanation does not describe the results themselves; these can be found in the relevant publications.
