Mixed income (including income from self-employment)

Mixed income is income earned by households and includes income from self-employment, rents and the grey, black and illegal economy. It is known as mixed income because it includes both profits and wages. These two components are difficult to separate; after all, self-employed persons do not pay themselves wages.
