The change in spending in the ‘long-term health care’ category of services differs from the change in spending on regular health care (WLZ) firstly because out-of-pocket payments and ZVW-funded care (community nursing and primary care facilities) are also included in ‘long-term health care’, and secondly because a limited share of total WLZ spending is allocated to other health care functions (medicines and medical devices, administration, and miscellaneous costs).
